Jaime Pressly Web is now back online! This weekend, the server that we are hosted on failed and my host had to replace the server. We unfortunately lost a month worth of updates. I have tried re-adding all the news and interview posts. I will be working on re-adding all the photos as soon as possible!

Yesterday, Jaime Pressly at was at the TCA press event for her show “I Hate My Teenage Daughter” with the show’s creators and co-stars. Later in the evening, she was in attendance at the Fox All-Star party in Malibu. I have photos from both events, a total of 186 HQ and MQ images, into our photo gallery!

Jaime Pressly and Katie Finneran have some formidable foes in their new Fox sitcom: their children. The two actresses star as BFFs and mothers on I Hate My Teenage Daughter, and the funny ladies visited the TCA to talk about the “hormone hell” they think parents will be able to relate to on the show. Pressly also talked about her fears of getting pigeonholed because of her previous work on My Name Is Earl.

* The cast seems to know that the title sounds a little harsh, but Pressly wanted to clarify that the title isn’t the pervasive feeling of the show, but the point that your kids can sometimes drive you to. Pressly said “every parent has that moment where they want to break down and just scream.” The actress thinks the show is relatable to many people, but parents of teens especially, who Pressly thinks “will be able to escape and realize they’re not alone” in the “hormone hell” they’re in with their children.
* Pressly and Finneran talked about what they were like as teenagers, and Pressly said she was “treated like dirt by the mean girls,” in North Carolina until she moved to California, describing her young self as an outcast and a tomboy. Finneran seemed to have it easier, saying she was friends with everybody — “the nice girl, the designated driver.”
* The actresses who play the mean-girl teenage daughters, Aisha Dee and Kristi Lauren, seemed to be far nicer than their onscreen couterparts, though Lauren joked that her parents are worried she’s “going to turn into her character.” Dee said it was “fun to get to play the kind of person everyone wants to be,” to which Pressly (who has lots of antagonistic roles on her résumé) cracked, “flat out, it’s fun to play the bitch, ask me.”
* Pressly is best known for her Emmy-winning role of Joy on My Name Is Earl, but she copped to her success being as much of a curse as it is a blessing. She was “very scared that I wasn’t going to be able to get another show for a very long time,” because “it’s so easy to be pigeonholed” now that so many people associate her with Joy. Naturally, she said she was very grateful to the showrunners of this show for bringing her on.

After today’s TCA panel on Fox’s new multi-camera comedy I Hate My Teenage Daughter – about two high school nerd-girls who grew up to be the mothers of the kind of popular “mean girls” that they envied and hated in high school – the show’s executive producers, Sherry Bilsing-Graham and Ellen Kreamer, talked with me about how their multi-camera comedy might fit in at Fox, which has struggled to successfully launch a multi-camera sitcom. The show stars Katie Finneran and My Name is Earl cast member Jaime Pressly as the moms and Australian Aisha Dee and Kristi Lauren as the snotty teenagers. “I think audiences really appreciate multi-camera comedy – you watch the big success of Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory and you feel good when you watch it – there’s something very comforting about it, I can’t explain why,” said Kreamer. It [harks back to] The Honeymooners and I Love Lucy — the history. It’s a little bit slower-paced than some of the single camera comedies, with the jump cuts and stuff. Sherry and I come from Friends, and we love that.”

Bilsing-Graham added that she thinks a multi-camera comedy fits well with Fox’s programming, more known for reality and animation than situation comedy of any kind. “I think reality television actually helps multi-camera; it has the same energy,“ she said.

Speaking of interaction with an audience, both producers are big fans of the audience reaction on Deadline. “I love the comments…they’re brutal!” Kreamer enthused.

I have updated the photo gallery with 395 screen captures of Jaime Pressly from some commercials and a music video that we didn’t have captures of! The commercials are for Levi’s, Youthful Essence, Old Navy and AXE. The music video is for a song called “Pray For You” that debuted last year.
